Representatives from the Tamar Valley Writers Festival, Artentwine, Blooming Tasmania, Junction Arts Festival, and Farmgate gathered at the Tamar Function Centre to outline what’s in store for their respective events.
After an introduction from West Tamar mayor Christina Holmdahl, each speaker delivered a four-minute presentation.
In her opening address, Mrs Holmdahl said she hoped the overviews would help attract volunteers to the festivals.
“The aim is for the details of this presentation to be disseminated into the greater community and its many organisations,” she said.
“Hopefully, this will result in volunteers that have a special interest in any of events becoming involved.”
Junction Arts signals the start of the Tamar spring festivals, beginning on September 5.
It will be followed by the Tamar Valley Writers Festival on September 14, before Blooming Tasmania on the weekend of September 22.
Farmgate will be held at the end of November.
