Ben Wilkinson, Megan Turale and Jaine Scollard are spending the week living off refugee rations in a bid to raise money for charity.
“Refugees are a thing that is close to my heart and I just wanted to actually do something,” Ms Turale said.
“We get a small amount of chickpeas, lentils and beans. I also got some sardines and just under two kilograms of rice per person. It sounds like a lot, but over the week it’s not very much at all.”
Ms Scollard said the amount of food they are living on, is similar to what a refugee in Syria would eat.

Every time they feel hungry, or they get a headache, it reminds them why they’re taking on this challenge.
“It reminds us that people are living on these rations for literally years and have to feed their families with them,” Ms Turale said.
“What’s a week? It feels very long to us at the moment.”
However, Ms Scollard said it was nothing to what people had to face in reality.
The trio is hoping to raise $3000.
