His Bart Simpson Lego model won the school’s competition, and will go on to be displayed at Brixhibition Launceston later this month.
Although unsure how many hours it took, Nathan said he had no instructions and no help.
Brixhibition organiser Ken Draeger said this year was the first time schools were allowed to enter teams.
“We introduced teams because some kids didn’t have Lego at home,” he said.
“So they could come to school and use the school’s Lego to build.”
It’s the first year Mowbray Heights Primary has entered the competition, and teacher Julie McKenzie said the creative, imagination-focused competition fit in beautifully with the school’s curriculum.
“This just complements everything we are already doing at the school,” she said.
Brixhibition Launceston, the state’s largest Lego event, opens its doors at the Albert Hall on Saturday, April 21.
