Lilydale’s new painted poles were officially opened on Sunday, with the town’s memorial hall packed full of supporters of the project.
Lilydale Arts president Chris Bush thanked everyone for their hard work.
Project manager Bernadine Alting said there were more than 30 volunteers who worked on the project.
“The poles are loved and photographed by many visitors who visit our area,” Ms Alting said.
“[The project is] absolutely phenomenal, you have to look for yourself.”
The poles were officially opened by City of Launceston landscape architect and urban designer Niall Simpson.
“Lilydale has been a fantastic community to work with,” Mr Simpson said.
