Go Gold For Pippa were walking for Pippa Harmey.
Kristy Shelton said friends and family came together to join the Relay for Life when Pippa was diagnosed with leukaemia.
“Pippa was diagnosed on Christmas Eve in 2015 when she was three-years-old,” Ms Shelton said. “This has been a yearly thing for us since she was diagnosed.”
Ms Shelton said in February, Pippa had her last chemotherapy treatment and things were looking “all good”.
Closing the event on Sunday morning, Cancer Council board director Harvey Cuthill OAM thanked everyone for their involvement.
“There’s a lot of people … who are coming back here every year to celebrate, celebrate the lives of loved ones that have come before us,” he said.
More than 1200 people in 72 teams relayed in 2018.
