Super sedans haven’t raced for over a month and competitors are eager to provide an awesome spectacle.
As it is their last race meeting for the season at this venue there will be no holding back for drivers with Dave Nicholls, Callum Harper, Steve Latham and Adam Beechey gunning for victory.
AMCA racing in recent weeks has been intense with many drivers throwing down the gauntlet to chase an elusive feature win.
Home track star Jake Briggs is keen to add to his own tally. Rodney Bassett had a massive rollover last weekend and will be back in the saddle.
It will also be interesting as Dale Riley Jr has his first run in an AMCA and will, no doubt, be competitive.
Bombers return to their home track after making the long trek to Latrobe Speedway where they entertained the crowd with their unique style of heavy-hitting racing.
Always popular with local fans, expect scores to be settled on track in the final.
Wingless sprints have another solid field and the battles in recent weeks have been very close, so expect Jeremy Smith and Luke Redpath to battle for the lead with Brad Walkley.
Junior sedans continue to have massive fields and with their championship to be decided next weekend, it is the last hit out for teams to ensure their equipment is ready to win.
The 24 entrants all want to see if they can match it with Jakobe Jetson who is in his last season.
Tassie sixes also held their state title and three-time winner Dwayne Sonners is set for an on-track showdown with Cameron Briggs who was leading the championship race early last week before a tangle with a backmarker forced him out.
Brad Cowan is fast, however he is looking for a better run of luck, as is Paul Howard who is on his fourth motor since Christmas.
Modified sedans will make a welcome addition as it has been a six-week lay off for most of the drivers.
Brad Herbert will be in form as he dials in his car before heading to the mainland to contest the Australian Modified Championship.
Also competing will be Jake Taurian who is using this meeting as a final test before heading north.
Others to watch include Brad McKendrick, Keith Blair, Trent Quillerat and Andy Russell.
Karts will start proceedings at 4pm with 40 entries over three classes, junior, senior and 125cc karts, competing.
The racing in all three classes was fantastic last weekend and will be well worth arriving early for. Main track action starts at 6pm.
