The stage was being set up on Thursday for the sell-out tour, which features headliner Australian music legend John Farnham.
He joins Daryl Braithwaite, Baby Animals, The Black Sorrows with Vika and Linda Bull and 1927 in the line-up.
Club marketing director Bede Clifton said the weather forecast might look wet, but the music forecast looked red hot.
There would be few additional bars to keep the lines down and coffee choices for those after a warmer option, Mr Clifton said.
Ponchos will be available to buy on the day for anyone who wanted a bit of rain protection.
Umbrellas were not allowed at the event, he said.
He hoped the rain would be over by early afternoon, with only a few scattered showers to dampen the crowd.
About 5000 festival-goers will rock out to You’re the Voice and Horses in a tour that Mr Clifton said never failed to sell out.
Tickets couldn’t be purchased late for the tour as they were sold quickly, he said.
“We haven’t done a Red Hot Summer Tour that hasn’t sold out.
“Launcestonians support live music.”
The hardwork of Regional Touring meant a great line-up was chosen for each event, he said.
Gates open at 1pm an hour before the bands start.
1927 take to the stage about 2.40pm before The Black Sorrows with Vika and Linda perform from 3.40pm.
Mr Clifton was looking forward to Baby Animals rocking out from 4.55pm.
Daryl Braithwaite ‘will be riding on the horses’ from about 6.10pm.
Headliner John Farnham takes to the stage for a monster set from about 7.30pm until 9pm.
The Bureau of Meteorology predicts a “very high” chance of up to 20 millimetres of rain and light winds on Saturday. The temperature isn’t expected to drop below 14 degrees with a day maximum of 21 degrees.
Camp chairs, snack food, sealed bottles of water, non-professional cameras, hats and sunscreens can be taken into the venue.
Eskies, umbrellas, tents, shades structures, selfie sticks, pets and alcohol should be left at home.
