For 10 years Hollybank Treetops Adventure Park has seen countless visitors challenge themselves, overcome their fears and have fun.

The park, located in Hollybank Forest Reserve just 20 minutes from Launceston, celebrated a decade of operation on January 14, and it continues to grow in popularity and options for outdoor activities.

Hollybank Treetops Adventure Park offers zipline tours, segway tours, mountain bike hire and a high ropes obstacle course.

It’s the perfect day trip for a family during the school holidays or as a team-building exercise for local businesses.

“We’ve been offering zipline tours for 10 years,” site manager Jacqui Willis said.

“This is up in the canopy with two guides, moving from platform to platform. We take people through a 23-metre maximum height.

“It crosses over the Pipers River, at which point they are 50 metres up. You get some pretty spectacular views.”

The park began offering segway tours in 2011, which has evolved into a 1.5 hour guided tour through the forest and the latest attraction, the high ropes flying-through-the-trees obstacle course, was started around two years ago.

It is self-paced, but takes about two hours and involves traversing obstacles in the trees - wobbly bridges, cargo nets, tunnels and more.

They also hire out mountain bikes for people to use on the public trails.

Mrs Willis has been with Hollybank for eight of the 10 years the park has been open and said she had experienced some memorable moments over the years.

“There are some particular people you remember,” she said.

“Way back when I first started, there was a woman who just didn’t think she could do it [the zipline], but at the end she was leaning out on the platform getting photos.

Zipline tours, available during the day time or as a twilight tour, go for three hours and cost $125 for adults, or $90 for children 3-17 years (parent participation required for ages 12 and under and those weighing under 35kg must ride tandem with a parent).

The twilight tour offers the chance to experience the serenity of twilight and into the evening, with stars high above you in the moonlit sky as you fly over the trees with only your helmet's lamp illuminating the way. You may even be fortunate enough to see some of Tasmania's wonderful nocturnal animals.

Segway tours are $100 per person (ages 12 and up).

The two-hour ropes course is $25 for 4-7 year-olds, $38 for 8-17 year-olds and $48 for adults ($43 concession).

April is the perfect month to check out the park. If you book a zipline tour you will be offered 50 percent off another activity.

Also there is free sign-up to the Ambassador Program, where locals can get 50-100 per cent off their next visit.
