Ecclestone Road is now reopen to traffic.
EARLIER:
Emergency services are responding to a car crash on Ecclestone Road at Riverside near Tasmania Zoo.
It has been reported that a car is on its roof on fire.
The crash is believed to have happened about 5.30pm on Tuesday.
Tasmania Police said the road is closed on the eastern side of Tasmania Zoo while a tow truck is awaited to remove the car.
Traffic diversions are in place and are likely to remain for the next one to two hours.
