That is the expectation from Cityprom chairman Steve Henty.
Launceston’s annual version of Black Friday will see more than 70 businesses selling items at a discount, with a number of activities also planned.
Petrarch’s Bookshop will be among the stores participating in the shopping surge, with hundreds of discounted books for sale at front of its store.
“It will be full of books that have been in the storeroom or specials that we’ve brought in just for the day,” co-owner Marcus Durkin said.
“It’s a good feeling in town, so everyone’s shopping for a bargain, but all are looking to have a good time.”
Mr Henty said shoppers should also expect live entertainment and a drone demonstration from Stallards Camera House.
Crazy Day runs from 10am to 3pm.
