Fighting only against the clock, cyclists competing in the 2018 Oceania Road Cycling Championships will confront the truth at Evandale on Friday.
More than 100 cyclists will descend on the village for time trial stage for the under-19, under-23 and elite categories for men and women.
“The town will hopefully be full on Friday and it’s a great event for the Northern Midlands,” Mr Burns said.
There will be road closures affecting Nile Road, Evandale between 10am and 1pm.
