Festival committee member Ian Mclean admitted it was “a little scary” when the weather took a turn for the worst on the first night of the event, but said the headline act ensured the evening finished on a high.
“There was a strong crowd right until the end,” he said.
“A lot of people had come to see the guitar extravaganza with Kevin Borich, Phil Emmanuel and Tim Gaze, which was one of the highlights of the day.”
Fans of the guitar trio included Launceston band The Fergusons, who also took to the stage on the Friday.
Lucas, 18, Zac, 14, and Jake, 16, won the chance to appear at Tasmania’s premier blues and roots event after taking out the Forth Valley Blues Competition.
They were joined by fellow Launceston act Bad Dad Orchestra on the line-up.
The festival wrapped up on Saturday night with a performance from Mark Seymour and The Undertow.
