The family event will see some of Tasmania's finest axe-wielders compete at a state title chop held by the North East Axeman’s Association.
The NEAA are also holding the inaugural Pioneer chainsaw race, which will use only Pioneer branded chainsaws which were last manufactured in the 1980s.
Other events at the carnival will include kids chops, relays, chainsaw events, and a chocolate raffle.
Food and beverages will be available for purchase, including popular freshly cooked doughnuts.
The carnival will take place on March 10 from 10am at the Pioneer Memorial Hall.
