The Lyons Liberal MHA headed to the Perth Hotel in the evening to celebrate the Liberals’ win.
Mr Barnett held the building and construction, energy, and resources portfolios. He said portfolio allocation was a “matter for the premier”.
“I’m delighted with the result - we have very strong support for another four years,” he said.
“We’ve had lots of feedback from colleagues and friends, supporters, who are delighted with Will Hodgman’s leadership.”
Mr Barnett said the Liberals had a “strong agenda to implement” and were “very keen to get on with the job”.
