Teen Challenge Tasmania is excited to be selected as Agfest’s 2018 official charity, executive director Tanya Cavanagh said.
“We are currently working to open Home of Hope, a women and children’s rehabilitation centre in Meander. We’re passionate about working with young people in prevention, helping them upstream, turning them away from addiction with our very successful #NotEvenOnce education projects and Connections mentoring program,” Ms Cavanagh said.
Chairman Owen Woolley said Teen Challenge Tasmania’s work aligned well with Agfest’s goals to support young people.
“There were a number of high quality applicants this year, as there is every year, however we are very excited to be working with Teen Challenge Tasmania,” Mr Woolley said.
“We are looking forward to supporting them and providing maximum exposure and awareness for their charity at a nationally recognised event.”
