After spending weeks wandering the streets of George Town in February, two-year-old Griff was brought to the RSPCA with significant wounds to his neck.
Manager Lorraine Hamilton said his injuries were likely caused from a chain, but after surgery and some tender loving care he had made a remarkable recovery.
“He is just the most beautiful, caring goofball,” she said.
“I always say dogs are far too forgiving and Griff is the perfect example of that.
“When he came to us, his wound was very deep and probably 30 centimetres long.
“It was clear he had it for some time and it was very infected.
“It is remarkable he has come this far.
“He has had a rough start, but he is now ready to find a loving family for life.”
