Golf Tasmania has announced that Lily Caelli from the Prospect Vale Golf Club will be its representative in the Rene Erichsen Salver national event to be played at Royal Adelaide from March 19 to 22.

Caelli will also be travelling to Western Australia later that month to play in the Bowra and O’Dea Classic at the Cottesloe Golf Club along with Georgia Milbourne, of Tasmania Golf Club, for the invitational event to be played on March 25 and 28.
Milbourne and Hallie Maeburn, of Royal Hobart, will be representing Tasmania at the Riversdale Cup, March 8 to 11.
Golf Tasmania is still waiting for nominations from the men to compete at Riversdale.
Former state representative Jack Tregaskis-Jago won the Prospect Vale club championship following a superb final round of three-under par 68. Runner up was Ronan Filgate. Jacob Horton won B-grade and Jarryd Battle C-grade. The women’s final round was washed out and will be played this week.
James Pyke has established a big lead in the Mowbray championship after three rounds and leads Mike Leedham by eight with Drew Ponting a further four back.
Sam Oliver leads B-grade from Mick Morcom and Steve Crothers, while Dale Quarrell heads C-grade from Denis Bailey.
Greg Longmore and Tim Long won the Launceston Golf Club foursome championship at the weekend and winners of the Ramsay Cup for the best net were Rob Faulkner and Les Styles.
At Riverside, the father-son combination of Peter and 12-year-old Isaac Roberts defeated Drew Davern and Rod Haig in the Hopwood Cup foursome event.
Sharon Crowden won the North-West matchplay championship at Ulverstone last week defeating Jackie Poke 5/4 in the 36-hole final.
Rosemary Paton defeated Kaye Morse at the 19th in the consolation final, Yvonne Dry defeated Colleen Plapp 3/2 in division 2 and Diane Harris defeated Gonny Creamers 3/1 in division 3.
Coming up
The inaugural North East opentournament will be played at Bridport and Scottsdale on March 10 and 11.
The single stableford format has women playing Bridport and the men Scottsdale on the Saturday with the reverse on the Sunday.

Riverside is hosting this year’s Iris Meek, June Atkinson and Frances Hudson ladies’ scratch events on Sunday, March 4.
The Smithton Bowl is a Golf Tasmania selection event and will be played at the challenging Smithton course on March 11 and 12.
This year’s Claremont Shield is to be played at Launceston Golf Club on March 3 and 4.
This is a combined foursome and stroke event featuring teams from clubs that play division 1 pennant and also includes combined sides from the regional bodies.
Defending champion is Tasmania Golf Club who had a massive win last year at Claremont.
