RSL state president Terry Roe said receiving core annual funding of $110,000, indexed into the future, would give confidence to continue projects to support service men and women for years into the future.
A key component of the package is a $225,000 active recreation program, Bass Liberals MHA Sarah Courtney said.
It would see service personnel focusing on mental health and well-being, as well as a pathway to employment in outdoor education or eco-tourism through spending time in Tasmania’s National Parks.
The funding would also be used to establish a Teddy Sheean Grant Fund worth $100,000 per year for small infrastructure repairs and equipment purchases, as well as funds for the Tasmanian Headstone Project and Armistice 100th anniversary commemorations.
