The show first started in 1889, and this year, more than 1000 people were expected to wander around the grounds.
Chudleigh A and H Society president Josh Smith said it was a good day out for families that didn’t break their bank account.
All of the children’s activities were paid for by the society, which thrilled parents, Mr Smith said.
Equestrian events proved popular on the day as did the wood chopping events.
Show jumpers were in fine form with “brilliant [entry] numbers”.
The Chudleigh Cup was expected to attract a crowd as people dressed up as horses to race for fun, he said.
The country atmosphere and relaxed day continued to be a drawcard for the show, he said.
“The day couldn’t run without support from sponsors and hard work from all of the volunteers,” Mr Smith said.
“I hope it will keep getting stronger and stronger.”
