On Saturday, Miss Teen Tasmania will be held at the Australian Italian Club.
Event director Sue Rees said more than 30 teens will take part.
“It’s a great number for the first event in Tasmania. There are even two people flying over from Victoria to take part in our finals because they didn’t get enough entries,” Ms Rees said.
That evening, more than 100 people will watch the teens at a gala dinner.
On Sunday, about 20 women will take part in the Miss World Tasmania state final being held at Peppers Seaport.
