More than one hundred candidates will contest for one of the 25 seats on offer in the upcoming state election.
The list of 109 candidates was released by the Tasmanian Electoral Commission on Wednesday.
The number is less than the field of 126 which contested the 2014 election.
Braddon has the most candidates of the electorates with 29 people standing for a place in the House of Assembly, Bass has 20 candidates, Denison has 18, Franklin has 16, and Lyons has 26.
There are 12 representatives from the Jacqui Lambie Network, six from the Tasmanian Shooters, Fishers and Farmers Party, four from newly registered party Tasmanians 4 Tasmania, and six independents.
