The matters were before the Launceston Magistrates Court on Tuesday, but Mr Smith did not appear.
Instead his lawyer, Evan Hughes, asked Magistrate Ken Stanton to adjourn the case further.
Mr Smith has yet to enter a plea.
Mr Stanton adjourned the matters until March 13.
