More than 100 dogs and their owners visited the historic estate for a day of family, food and entertainment.
“It’s been better than expected,” Mrs Staal said.
She was looking forward to hosting another pet day in the future as it meant families could have an enjoyable day out with their dogs.
Andriena French and her husband Paul took their dog Ollie to the pet day.
It was a beautiful day and they would love to return if the event was on again, she said.
