Usually seen rattling tins on highways at this time of year, the performers will be stopping at Campbell Town on Grant Street on March 8.
The clowns will be rattling tins for passing motorists between 8am and 4pm.
The roadside visit is a part of the yearly Clown Doctors Appeal, which raises funds required for the group to operate.
The group employs “humour therapy” in the state’s three major hospitals to help calm and distract children during painful operations or in emergency situations.
Royal Hobart Hospital was home of the first group of Australian Clown Doctors in 1996.
