Only three Launceston batters made it past one as the bulk of the scoring was left up to Rhianne Hack and Stacey Norton-Smith (15 apiece).
After falling from 4-39 to 9-41, the Lions were eventually bowled out for 46 with Battle’s incredible haul supported by Chelsea Ryan’s tight spell of 2-11 off nine overs.
The Lions made some early breakthroughs with openers Belinda Wegman and Meg Radford dismissed cheaply, but Caitlyn Webster (25 not out) led the Knights to an easy victory inside 13 overs.
Meanwhile, the match between Riverside and Mowbray appears evenly balanced after the first day at Windsor Park.
Mowbray elected to field first and managed to dismiss the Blues for 127 from 44.1 overs, with Cassie Blair taking 4-16 and Alysha Jackson 3-35.
Riverside skipper Sophie Parkin fell just short of making her maiden senior half-century, topping the scoreboard with 45, while opener Ianthe Boden made 29.
The match will continue on Friday next week.
