Exports to North-East Asia were a key driver, accounting for more than $1 billion.
Wine Australia chief executive Andreas Clark said this was the highest annual export growth since 2004.
“Growing demand for premium Australian wine ... increased the value of bottled wine exports by 17 per cent to $2.1 billion,” Mr Clark said.
