Garlic producers from all over the state will head to the Tasman Peninsula for the Koonya Garlic Festival this month.

Tasmanian Natural Garlic & Tomatoes, Pure and Purple, King Island Natural Garlic and Runnymede Garlic are just a handful of the 12 producers who will share their love of the purple bulb during the event, festival secretary Janice Sutton said.
“The Koonya Garlic Festival is a uniquely original Tasman food experience that celebrates the joy of garlic, the food it flavours and the music and arts that it inspires!” Ms Sutton said.
Food, beverage, garlic and gourmet producers, chefs, craft and gardening stalls will fill out the festival for the expected crowd of 10,000.
There will also be musicians, cooking masterclasses and children’s activities.
The Koonya Garlic Festival is on Saturday, February 24, between 10am and 3.30pm at Koonya Hall.
