Police allege the female was driving under the influence, after returning a blood alcohol reading of 0.192.
The driver will also be charged with a number of traffic related offences including unlicensed driving.
“The manner of driving while under the influence of alcohol is of great concern,” Acting Sergeant Will Smith said.
“Tasmania Police want to remind the community that the current ‘We’ve Been Everywhere’ road safety campaign aims to encourage safe road use by promoting the high possibility of being caught if driving unsafely and the fact that road safety is everyone’s responsibility.”
Police are asking anyone who saw a black Subaru Outback, driving in an erratic manner in the area about 5.45pm on Thursday, to contact Devonport Police on 64 784 011.
