This field day follows the silage making workshop held in 2017, and discusses silage samples taken from Tasmanian dairy farms recently, including Ji and Katie Streets’ property where the event will be held.
Jason Lynch from Macquarie Franklin will also talk about the difference silage quality makes to the cost of feeding dairy cows and Samantha Flight presents strategies on minimising losses at feed lot.
The field day runs between 11am and 1.30pm at 730 Avenue Road, Parkham.
