Her Excellency Kate Warner will be lead through the morning chat by former radio broadcaster Penny Terry.
Tamar Sunrise’s International Women’s Day chairwoman Jo Hart said she was delighted by the guest speaker.
"International Women’s Day is a global day celebrating the social, economic, cultural and political achievements of women,” she said.
“The Honorable Kate Warner is the perfect person to speak at this year’s event.”
In its fifth year, the Rotary club’s breakfast will introduce a new initiative allowing senior high school students to attend.
“Students identified as emerging leaders within Northern Tasmania will be provided the opportunity to attend, allowing them the chance to listen to the state’s most influential women,” Ms Hart said.
This year’s breakfast will be held on March 7 at the Hotel Grand Chancellor from 7am until 8.15am.
Early bird tickets are on sale now for $40 and are available until February 14.
Tickets can be purchased by visiting eventsbytamarsunrise.com.
