The 56-year-old South Australian woman hurt her leg and shoulder while walking with two other people on the southern Tasmanian track on Tuesday afternoon.
After the woman activated her personal location beacon about 1pm, the Australian Maritime Safety Authority contacted Tasmania Police and the Westpac Rescue Helicopter was sent to the area.
The woman was picked up from Prion Beach and flown to the Royal Hobart Hospital.
Last week, the Westpac Rescue Helicopter was called to Moina after a car rolled on Cradle Mountain Road.
A man was flown to the Royal Hobart Hospital with “serious injuries”.
Two weeks earlier, helicopter crews were part of a full scale search operation after a capsized dinghy was spotted off the East Coast, at St Helens.
It was later discovered the boat had taken on water and the men onboard had swum to shore and failed to alert the authorities.
