The three-day George Town festival will feature more than 100 performers, according to festival organiser Chris Atwell, including Kym PItman, Heart Collectors and Argentinian tango band La Busca.
The festival will start at the Memorial Hall on Friday from 7pm, with six acts.
A number of different venues will play host to the festival, including the Bass and Flinders Centre.
“As the largest and longest running cultural and social event in the history of the town, the Tamar Valley Folk Festival is now well and truly part of the fabric of the town,” Mr Atwell said.
