Perth Olympian Georgia Baker was the first Tasmanian home, shaking off a mid-race crash to finish 13th, with Devonport’s Amy Cure just a fraction behind in 24th.
The pair’s TIS teammates Kristina Clonan, Maeve Plouffe and Jessica Mundy crossed the line in 20th, 37th and 38th respectively.
The results ensured Cure and Baker held onto their overnight rankings to finish in 20th and 29th place respectively, 3:26 and 4:18 behind Tour winner Amanda Spratt.
Meanwhile, Devonport’s Macey Stewart looks set to spend some time on the sidelines after crashing out 300m from the finish line on day one.
Concussion forced the 21-year-old out of the Tour on Friday, little more than two weeks after she crashed out in the Ulverstone criterium.
“Turns out things were a little more serious than first thought following my crash on Thursday,” Stewart wrote on Facebook.
“I’m now in a moon boot and awaiting plastic surgery on my eye socket within the next week or so.”
