TasNetworks say the outage is due to a vehicle crash.
However, a Tasmania Police spokeswoman said she was unaware of any incidents.

The affected 805 people are advised to check the TasNetworks website after 6pm for a restoration time.
Some customers have been without power for about four hours.
More than 230 South-East customers are also without power, with that cause under investigation.
Orford, Rheban and Spring Beach are listed as affected.
