After standing derelict for more than two decades, the Boland Street Cottages will be transformed into 30 apartments in a $4 million development.
The cottages will be demolished before the five-storey apartment building is constructed on the site.
The council expects to begin the Brisbane Street Mall redevelopment by April and to have it finalised before Christmas.
