Four of the Launceston-based fermentor’s brews will be on offer at Saturday’s event.
Owner Paul Morrison said he had also brewed a special raspberry sour beer for summer, which went “really well” at Taste of Tasmania.
“It’s good for summer. It’s only three per cent, it’s refreshing, spritzy and fruity,” Mr Morrison said.
Morrison’s attended the inaugural BeerFest and have watched how the event has changed and grown.
“The crowd has changed. There were a lot of Coroner drinkers, with safe pallets before hand, but now everyone just wants to try new things,” he said.
“The industry in general has changed. Everyone wants something different, they want something extra and a different flavour with extra character.
“People are drinking less beer, but they’re drinking better beer.”
Mr Morrison said BeerFest was a great event, and because events like BeerFest offer “something different” it made them a succes.
“It’s local. It’s just down the road … and it’s a good crowd too,” he said.
The family-owned business will take at least 10 kegs to the annual festival.
“[BeerFest] is only one day this year, so we don’t really know if it’s going to be bigger or smaller. But with Mofo and other things happening there will be a few people around,” Mr Morrison said.
Coal Valley Cider and Little Rivers Brewing will also attend BeerFest for the sixth year in a row.
Tickets cost $25.
