Starting at 7.30pm, there will be the opportunity to eat some freshly-cooked food and enjoy great company.
While the dinner events are held monthly at the Chabad, co-organiser Rochel Gordon said they always make sure no two are the same.
“We usually try to do something different for each one,” she said.
“This could involve playing a game, or another activity.”
Preparations for the meal began on Thursday, with the cooking of the traditional Challah, which is a special type of bread.
It will be served alongside a cup of wine to toast the Sabbath before the three main courses.
The menu is also set to include fish, as well as matzo balls.
Tickets to Friday night’s community event are available through chabadtascom.clhosting.org. The suggested donation is $18 per person and $50 for a family. The Chabad of Tasmania is located at 3/292 Wellington Street.
