The Tasmanian Fire Service says the fire is now under control.
People with medical conditions are being advised to have a personal plan for avoiding smoke from the burn.

EARLIER: East Coast residents are being urged to take action, as a bushfire threatens Spring Beach.
The fire was reported by Tasmania Fire Service about 3.45pm on Monday, and a watch and act bushfire advice level enacted.
Residents around Hoods Road, Spring Beach, are advised to start taking action and consult their bushfire survival plans.
Conditions on the coast mean the fire will be difficult to control.
Embers, smoke and ash may begin to impact the area.
Several fire trucks and aircraft have been called to assist.
Anyone who is not a resident is urged to stay away from the area.
