A 49-year-old man died in two-car crash in Tasmania’s south on Sunday afternoon.

The Parattah man and three female passengers attempted to cross the south-bound lanes of the South Arm Highway at the intersection of Mornington Road, Mornington, in their 2003 Kia Rio.
Police said a white Holden Commodore ute was travelling south about 2.45pm when the cars crashed.
The Holden crashed into the Kia’s driver side.
The 49-year-old man died at the scene. The three female passengers, including two children, were transported to the Royal Hobart Hospital and were treated for non-life threatening injuries.
The driver of the Holden, a 25-year-old Rokeby man was treated at the Royal Hobart Hospital for minor injuries and was later released.
Investigations into the crash were conducted on Sunday night, with the South Arm Highway closed for several hours while investigators examined the scene.
