The data was released from the Australian Criminal Intelligence Commission’s National Wastewater Drug Monitoring Program.
Three regional and three capital city sites were monitored as part of the program’s third report, which comprised of samples taken collected during April, June and August, 2017
A comparison of the data revealed average methamphetamine consumption in Tasmanian city sites remained relatively stable, while decreased consumption was reported in regional sites.
The report also showed a decrease in cocaine consumption across capital city sites, with no regional consumption reported in August, 2017.
