Northern Futsal Tasmania chief executive Rudy Compagne said eight men’s and five women’s teams from all regions will battle it out at Elphin Sports Centre from 9.30am.
“It’s a one-day round-robin event with two-groups of four teams in the men’s and the women will just fall into one group,” Compagne said.
“The top teams will play-off in a final.
“There are two teams from Burnie, couple of teams from Ulverstone, Devonport, Launceston and Hobart and a state men’s team as well.”
Compagne sat the event was successful last December with Launceston Giants taking out both cups.
“We also ran one in Hobart a month or so ago and we try and get as many tournament in as we can throughout the year,” he said.
Compagne said he hopes to continue to expand the competition moving forward with more teams and possibly several divisions.
The women’s final will start at 7.15pm, followed by the men’s at 8pm.
