Tasmania Fire Service crews and Tasmania Police were called to the scene where the vehicle was reportedly burning on a driveway off Pipers River Road.
The blaze was reported just before 8.30am Thursday.
Nobody was inside the car at the time and the cause of the fire is not yet known.
Emergency services remained on the scene at 9am but the fire was contained.
Elsewhere in the state, Tasmania Fire Service continues to patrol an 847-hectare burn at Nunamara.
The fuel reduction burn took place on Prossers Road on November 19, as part of the state-wide program, and TFS reported some areas were “still generating smoke” on Wednesday night.
“People with medical conditions are advised to have a personal plan for avoiding smoke from the burn,” TFS said.
In the North-West, a vegetation fire is being patrolled.
The fire has been burning since Sunday on Railton Road at Tarleton and Tasmania Fire Service has warned residents there may be visible smoke in the area “for some time”.
