The Saints have already signed up a host of female players including Nadia Brown, Lauren Bell, Kayla Jetson-Scott, Renee Wilson and Kaytlin Bodis on their quest to become a force in the league’s second season.
President Tom Bell said he was excited to be a part of taking the NTFA division 1 club on a new path.
“It is great to see women’s football in Tasmania continuing to grow, and that George Town will play a major role in this,” he said.
The women will be coached by club great Shane Baker and 23 players have taken part in training to date. The club will hold a combined training session with the George Town senior men’s team on Thursday at Blue Gum Park.

“This will be a great induction to the club for our potential TWL players and will further cement the support that the club gives to our up and coming female footballers,” Bell said.
“All players and supporters are invited to an informal meet and greet at the club post training. This is a great opportunity to meet all players, enjoy a free barbecue and hear about the exciting plans.”
