Emergency crews responded to reports of a crash on Pipers River Road about 10.30am, where they found the man partially trapped by the ATV.
An Ambulance Tasmania crew attended to the man and he was transported to Launceston General Hospital in a stable condition.
The road was closed for about two hours while a tow truck cleared the scene.
The cause of the crash is still being investigated.
It followed on from a motorcycle fatality in the state’s South on Saturday night, where a 36-year-old Ranelagh man died after a crash on the Channel Highway.
Tasmania Police responded to reports of a serious crash about 150 metres south of the junction of Derwent Avenue at 10.03pm.
Police said the man was riding south when he veered off the road while trying to negotiate a right hand curve.
Attempts to resuscitate the man at the scene proved unsuccessful.
