It might have come from a machine, but snow did fall at Saturday’s Grindelwald’s Twilight Christmas Festival.

With more than 1300 RSVPs the event has been hailed a success by organisers, with families coming from all over to visit Santa at the Swiss-themed village.
Aspect Tamar Valley Resort general manager Damien Pinkerton said the organisers were thrilled with the turn out.
“For us it was just about putting on a great, free community event,” he said.
“The snow machine has probably been the biggest hit, as well as Santa of course.
“Fortunately the weather has been on our side.
“At this time of year, being able to offer families a free day out is something we really wanted to do.”
This is the second year Grindelwald has hosted the Twilight Christmas Festival.
Mr Pinkerton said the event had grown significantly, with a huge range of food vans and craft stalls on offer as well as children’s entertainment including free pony rides, face painting and a jumping castle.
“We probably have at least 15 more stalls than we did last year,” he said.
“I think there is still room for the event to grow.”
A snow machine set up in the resort’s main courtyard also attracted large crowds, with Santa available for photos.
Mr Pinkerton said it was great to see so many families out enjoying themselves, with plans already underway to hold a similar event at Easter time.
“The next big event we have planned is for Easter,” he said.
“We plan to have an Easter egg hunt and hopefully it will be just as popular as the Christmas festival.”
