Santa has made a note in his diary to stop by the Grindelwald Twilight Christmas Festival on Saturday.
A chance to post Santa letters, and capture a snowy Christmas moments, the event has it all – including free kids activities.
The Christmas festival will be held at the Grindelwald’s Swiss Village on Saturday from 5pm. The event will end about 8pm.
Greens Beach Xmas market
Greens Beach will offer a Christmas shopping opportunity on Sunday.
The Greens Beach Christmas Market will have handmade products and home grown and made produce.
The market will be held outside the Greens Beach shop from 10am until about 1pm.
The market was postponed last week because of heavy rain.
Liz Ellis Memorial Fun Run
More than 100 people are expected to take on the challenge on Saturday for the Liz Ellis Memorial Fun Run.
The two-kilometre run starts at 10am, with a four km and eight km event to follow after.
Registrations will be open until 9.45am on the day. The event aims to get the family outside and pay tribute to its founder.
Christmas drag night at Club 54
Glitter will be out in force on Saturday night for a special cause.
Christmas Drag Night is being held at Club 54 to raise funds for The Examiner’s Empty Stocking Appeal.
Organised by Hayden Lyons, last year’s event was deemed a success with all funds raised going to BeyondBlue.
The Club 54 Drag Night will be held on December 9 from 9pm.
Entry is $5
Christmas and cake
Christmas will be a little sweeter at Sunday’s Carols and Cake at Franklin House as the Tamar Valley Voices sing carols in the garden.
Fresh fruit mince pies and Christmas cakes have been made.
The carols start at 2pm, with tickets available for $10.
Harvest Launceston
New season cherries have come to life and will be on sale at this week’s Harvest Launceston.
Somercotes Cherries and The Rowella Farm will both be at the market on Saturday.
SmallGrain will also make their harvest debut selling Asian street food with a twist.
The market is held in Cimitiere Street Carpark until 12.30pm.
