Beaconsfield District Health Service Carols By Candlelight will be held at The Day Centre from 6pm to 8pm on December 6. Light supper will be provided. For more information, contact Julie on 6702 6060.
December 8: Beaconsfield
Christmas in the West Tamar will be held on Friday, December 8, from 6pm to 8.30pm. Held at RSL Park at Beaconsfield, the event will feature the West Tamar Band, Tamar Valley voices, the Tassie Tenor, Rotary BBQ, free face painting, a mega slide and more.
December 9: George Town Christmas Swap
The George Town Community Christmas Swap will take place on December 9 at the Agnes Street Neighbourhood House from 10am. The community is asked to bring along good quality items no longer needed to donate to those less fortunate.
December 9: Launceston
City of Launceston RSL Band and Vox Harmony present A Launceston Christmas. The event is begins at 7pm at St John’s Anglican Church on St John Street in Launceston. Tickets are available at the door: general $15 and concession/juniors $10.
December 10: Low Head carols
An afternoon of traditional carol singing will take place at St Paul’s by the Sea Church at Ainslie House, Low Head at 2.30pm on December 10. For those interested in being in the choir, a practice session will take place at 1.30pm at the church.
December 10: Launceston Salvation Army Christmas Carols
Launceston Salvation Army is holding their annual Christmas Carol Service. This year’s theme is ‘The Star of Christmas’.
December 10: Riverside carols
Riverbank Christian Church will host Carols on the Lawn from 5pm to 7pm. There will be a free BBQ, drinks and desserts available. Community members are encouraged to bring a chair, picnic rug, salad and nibbles. For more information contact Jono 0430 383 923.
December 17: Launceston carols
On Sunday, December 17, about 7000 Launcestonians will flock to City Park to enjoy the “iconic” Carols by Candlelight. Entry cost is $5 for adults and $3 for children. The event raises thousands of dollars annually for The Examiner’s Empty Stocking Appeal. More than 40 Christmas songs will be preformed from 5pm to 7pm.
