The Todd Rattray-trained gelding finished equal 10th on the points table after three rounds of heats but only qualified as second emergency and is unlikely to get a start.
Stable spokesman Barrie Rattray said Devendra would contest the Consolation Final and may remain in Perth if suitable stable accommodation can be found.
After winning two heats of the 2015 Inter-Dominion, the gelding stayed on to run fourth in the $300,000 Fremantle Cup and second in the $400,000 WA Pacing Cup and those races are possible targets again.
However on that occasion, connections left Devendra with former Tasmanian trainer Gary Elson and he is not able to take the horse this time around.
