More than 70 kid-based activities were on offer as part of the event, including 20 new providers. Organiser Sheila Tivan said it was about giving children a foundation of physical activity they could build upon with their families.
“We want parents to walk away with something in mind for their kids to do after school,” she said.
“The whole point is to get kids active and healthy, and not just physically healthy, but also mentally and socially healthy as well.
“The activities here are a great way for kids to make friends outside of school.”
Kids on the day had their choice of 11 different zones, with categories such as craft, active, and much more.
