Named for her son Euan and his dog Bud, Mrs Burbury and her family launched the beer on Tuesday at her restaurant Cataract on Paterson.
The beer is a collaboration between Cataract on Paterson and Scottsdale craft brewery Little Rivers Brewing Co.
Mrs Burbury developed the idea for the craft beer during an extended stay in hospital.
“I was not allowed to have my laptop or my phone. I had a notebook and a pen and I had been talking about wanting to do something like this for ages,” Mrs Burbury said.
“It gave me something to think about and now it’s nice to see that it has come to fruition,” she said.
Family friend Joe Pentridge was on hand to launch the beer, which is sold at Cataract on Paterson and TRC Hotel.
“We’re here to launch what we hope will be a beautiful product. It has a beautiful picture of a beautiful boy with a beautiful dog so it has to be successful,” Mr Pentridge said.
“We want it to be a successful product. Hound Dog has been handcrafted with love,” he said.
Next up for the entrepreneurial family and Little Rivers Brewing Co is another craft beer – A Girl with her Dancing Shoes – for Isla Burbury.
